Former BEHEMOTH Guitarist's BLINDEAD To Release New Album In April
February 18, 2011BLINDEAD, the brainchild of ex-BEHEMOTH guitarist Mateusz "Havoc" Smierzchalski, will release its third album, "Affliction XXIX II MXMVI", in April via Mystic Production. The band's "most complex and melodic" effort to date contains seven original songs and is said to be a concept album telling the story of an autistic girl.

BLINDEAD was formed in 1999 as a "fun" project for bassist Michal Zimorski and guitarist Mateusz "Havoc" Smierzchalski. Over time, the band became a more serious endeavor and after several lineup changes the group signed a deal with Empire Records. Their first album, "Devouring Weakness", was released in 2006 and was followed by 2008's "Autoscopia/Murder In Phazes" via Deadline Records.
During 2009 BLINDEAD played shows in Poland, Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany and Hungary.
